Submission Guidelines
JUST Health is a community-sourced web publication hosted by the Center of Excellence at Stanford School of Medicine, dedicated to elevating the voices of the San Francisco Bay and beyond. This publication is designed to spotlight thought, research, challenges, and inroads in health disparities, health inequity, and social justice in medicine, health and wellness.
Eligibility
Who may submit work to JUST Health?
Because this publication aims to amplify voices throughout society, there are no eligibility requirements for potential authors. Any health activist representing their community, educational campus, healthcare or other organization is warmly invited to submit relevant work to JUST Health for consideration. Potential authors are not required to be affiliated with Stanford School of Medicine or an educational campus for consideration. Community members involved in health and health justice-related work are especially encouraged to submit their work.
Other Rules
Authors are welcome to submit multiple submissions to a maximum of three per year. No more than one article per author will be published in any single section of a particular issue. Authors must ensure they have the right to publish with JUST Health (ie. no conflicting journals). Once JUST Health begins the editorial process, authors must work exclusively with us until the piece has been published in JUST Health. Upon publication, work published in JUST Health may be published elsewhere, however authors should be conscious of other journals’ policies regarding exclusivity of rights, and disclose if work has been or may be published elsewhere.
